Summertime Grove is a collection of songs about escaping to a place where all that matters is creating something new and having fun doing it. It is both a physical hideaway and a metaphor for an idealistic space when I can be completely free from any external pressures, especially time.
This EP was recorded with vocals, acoustic guitar, keyboard, floor toms and various everyday objects found in my bedroom.
Track List: 1.Building Things Who Understand 2. Summertime Groove (poetry by Robert Louis Stevenson) 3. WOAH MANG 4. Faery Bath 5. Living in Leaves
These four songs were put together throughout early 2008. They feature mostly rhythmic vocal lines, simple drum loops and wailing recorder melodies. The theme of this EP was the overwhelming impact of seemingly unimportant decisions or events in my life and finding ways to come to terms with the fact that everything I am is based on what has happened to me.
Track List: 1. These Lines 2. Quick! Up the Hill to the Sitting Stones! 3. Tree Steps 4. At the end of it all, the lines were still there, but you know what? I kinda like them.
Hi, my name is David Egan. It seems like a good idea to create an archive of my creative work online, to give me some personal perspective on my own ideas and to exhibit them for critique to everyone else.
